So last year I landed a job with a start-up aerospace company and we're doing amazing things. Before then, I was unemployed because of the pandemic. To celebrate my re-entry into the workforce I bought a watch.
I wanted a space related piece but the Bulova moon watch is too large and a Speedy was not financially viable. Others, while still somewhat affordable, I couldn't make that expense.
So I found this. Timex x Peanuts has had a recurring space theme the last few years. All sold out and resellers are asking way too much. Luckily I found this one at only $10 more than MSRP.
It's fun watch Friday, and I'm going into the weekend with my Timex Snoopy space watch. #wruw

Thank you @Unholy! Glad to have a revenue stream to buy more watches :D
Indiglo, the greatest horological achievement of the 20th century.
Fight me! 💪
I try to always wear a "fun" watch on Friday, typically it's a watch from my Swatch collection.
Today's piece!

Not gonna argue. Its usability is fantastic.

That's a really cool piece. Swatch always has good, funky watches. I love them for it.
Congrats!
I got excited to see this. Oddly enough I spent my morning walk with my own hound dog pulling me around as I browsed Snoopy watches on eBay lol.

That's too funny. Coincidence, I think not! I was initially after this one, but resellers wanted an arm and a leg for it. The one I ended up purchasing worked perfectly as the company's core color is dark blue, and also because we're in Houston and the city's colors are blue and orange. I couldn't have picked a better watch to represent the city and the new company.

Wow, this one is definitely a looker. I can see why you were chasing it but I agree, the one you got has more quirky character and sentimental value.

It is a looker, and I agree with you on the quirkiness of the other watch. And because we're actually putting something in space and have to launch, the "All systems are go!" text on the watch is fittingly appropriate.

That’s awesome all of that pulled together like that with the space and colors!
Such a fun silhouette on the white Timex.

Yeah, it was a total coincidence, being that the seller only had two of these left, and it wasn't terribly overpriced like the other models.
