I would go with either BB 58 or AT. SMP could be too big for your wrist and more suitable for the weekend (not quite a daily watch from my view). The Breitling wears even bigger than the SMP.
Alternatively, have a try on the Seamaster 300 Heritage, which has been recommended by another cruncher and I totally agree with it!
Buy and sell it. You can make some extra profit fairly quickly while keeping a good record for what you really want. However, do it only if you still want to play the game, and you have the free money to buy it without affecting your normal life financially.

It would be very brave for CW to rise up the price to 2k to compete with longines and Tudor directly. Even so, they still need to get traveller GMT movements from Longines or Tudor which is very unlikely. Unless I missed some other traveller GMT movements out there?
