Wanted to try and show the #baltic Hermétique Indices. 🧪
Super-Luminova C3 X1, but it’s an entire block of lume. Never seen this before. Granted it’s not the brightest most intestate lume. Yet coupled with the extremely domed sapphire (think Bambino), the effect is mesmerizing. ✌️
*my photo abilities (or the lack thereof) doesn’t do this justice.

A "block" of lume that's not bright? Interesting.
For me, it’s not about if it’s a block or not. Does it last? Would it hold a charge through the night? For some reason, no one is commenting about this. I wonder why 🤔💭💭

🤷 ya not the brightest compared to say Zelos that I own

That’s a good take (never really thought about it that way).
I actually think it lasts better than many others I own. Legibly at night after a day of (mostly office ) wear is quite good I’d say. Definitely will pay more attention to “Intensity vs. Longevity” of lume 🙏
Brown is The Color.
The solid blocks of lume look so sculptural and interesting. There are others like Tudor and Farer that do solid lume blocks, but none that make intricate shapes like Baltic is doing with the numerals.
Though the lack of lume stamina is a bit disappointing.
If the indices of the Hérmetique may have been a bit shorter I would have bought it already (in brown or green). BTW, my Farer Resolute has rather nice lumen for its much slighter and black colored numerals. So it depends on the grade of the lumen.

Thanks for the info 🙏
And to be fair, I feel like the lume on this Baltic lasts and is legible, but the overall brightness is a wee bit underwhelming.
Would these lume blocks disintegrate over time? Thats my one main worry with these.

Fair point. Especially if it’s painted? thinly 🤔
I guess I’ll find out 😅

It depends on what the substrate of the blocks is. If they’re a ceramic, like the blocks in the Black Bay Pro, then almost certainly no - they’ll last forever. If they’re a plastic, then maybe. But even then - you’d be looking at 20+ years before you’d find out, I’d imagine.
Big fan of Baltic, just don't like small watches. 40-42mm is the sweet spot for me.

Not as small as I thought now that I’ve had it for a bit (6.5~6.75 inch wrist). But totally understand 🤝

Yes it does. It’s even impressive : it even lights a bit a small area around the watch. I had never seen it before.

I did not know it can be an issue.

Yeah i think it can be. I think it was an issue on some Tudor Rangers iirc.

I can tell that it’s not only very strong but it lasts hours.
I could not sleep well last night so I witnessed it. One hour before wake up, it became weak.
I will try to make more precise measurements but it has been excellent.

Interesting, thank you. I will try to find more info.
That is some intense #lume

Def lasts through the night ✌️
None my my Swiss or micro divers have lume like my Seiko divers. So with slightly lower expectations, I love the 3d look of the Baltic numbers. Great look!

That’s an excellent point. I adore this model (although I haven’t recovered from the honeymoon phase yet 😅).
