Hi, I went through something similar with with my Sea Dweller about 2 months ago. I loved Rolex before and I was over the moon once I finally got it. Then excitement fell off slightly and I started to have doubts: is it safe to wear it? Maybe i can buy cheaper diver and use the rest of money on something useful? Maybe i should keep the watch in the closet and wear it only on special occasions so it is not scratched and can be sold for good money later?
My conclusion is this: I have an OK car by now, appartment and the watch did not ruin me (realizing this is the key I think). Now I wear this watch every day, it has some scratches (tiny ones, but new ones will come). I am starting to fall in love with it and the joy it gives me is growing. Every evening before i put it to night stand I stare at it for a while ☺️ So, if you have your priorities solved and have some safety net money, just wear it and enjoy it and miracles will happen 🙂 And for the worry of wearing expensive watch, I believe 99% of people really do not care what you wear…
