Modding my bezel

Guys, i have a 40mm custom seiko Sprite GMT that was built for me earlier this year. I am thinking of changing out the bezel to Black. Would be my first time doing any modding.

the question: Should i get an bezel insert or get a completely new bezel (incase i want to switch them back one day)? Is it a bunch of trouble to switch inserts back and forth?

There isn't an issue changing either the insert nor the bezel itself except the effect it has on your wallet. Go with what you like!

I'd go with an insert if you can remove it without taking off the bezel. It's easier and some bezels can be a pain to put back on.

So I am gonna say go with a whole bezel if you’re thinking you may want to switch back. Switching back properly on the same bezel will require removing the bezel, pushing off the insert, cleaning the glue out of the bezel and all the other dirt built up, sourcing new glue stickers and waiting for them because you lost your other order of them but you swear they were in that drawer what the hell?!

Anyway, you take your clean bezel and then fiddle with sticking the new glue and not folding it over on itself. You then reinstall the bezel, and next have to try your damnedest to line up the bezel insert with indicators, and not stick the bezel all the way down till it’s perfect.

Or

You do this once, and when you want to switch colors, pop the current bezel off, and then pop new bezel on, and go about your day.

It also gives you a chance to try a bezel with a unique edge.
