A friend of mine lent me his Seiko Turtle SRP775 for a whole afternoon, and I am SOLD on the look!
So normally I prefer slim or small watches, but the big chonk Turtle on a rubber strap has won me over. The silhouette has so much presence and charm for streetwear fashion. Moreover, the gilt colorway has elevated vintage vibes, sort of like a Boss Mustang in the sunset:
It's tempting to just buy the same watch, but I don't want to simply cop the look and end up twinning with my friend. 😂
What are some other alternative watches for streetwear? I'm looking for something with a bit of presence, vintage appeal, and preferably a gilt dial.

How about the Seiko land tortoise?
Same color way and case shape, but different dial and hands. It is 2mm smaller.
CasiOak or a Baltic Aquascaphe in gilt colorways
Well, you have the very aptly named Seiko 5 Street Style series, with case styles deriving from the SKX of yesteryear but with an urban twist: https://www.seikowatches.com/global-en/products/5sports/lineup?#street-style
If a gilt dial is important to you, then maybe the SRPE57 could be a good choice.
You can try the Seiko Mini Turtle and the Tuna series.
One of the many Alpinists with gilt numerals might tick a similar vintage look, without the chunk ofc.
Me, trying to figure out what the hell "streetwear" is. 🤣
JK, I have this watch, but under the new reference number (SRPE91). You can always get it, and tell your friend it's not the same watch because it has different wording on the case back. 👌😂

The blue one has caught my eye before!

Love the Tuna! I actually got the smaller "lady size" Tuna that I wear as a mini diver. Maybe getting the big one instead would have solved my "chunky streetwear watch" problem. 😂 This tiny thing is my favorite grab and go watch!
Perhaps @Ichibunz can create a unique one for you. 😉

Sure thing!! Glad to help!! To make a unique watch piece to stand out!! That will EPIC!!

Epic streetwear piece!!
I have that same turtle and it is awesome for sure. Take a look at Citizen if you want something a bit different, the Fugu is a big chunky diver that’s got a bit of vintage to it. The Aqualand is what I’ll call ‘neo-vintage’ and the Night Hawk from citizen (certainly not my taste) might appeal.
There’s always a second hand market full of 90s-00s Tag Heuer divers too. Quartz Tag Professionals have such a specific look but lack that chunk of the turtle.
