My watch bracelet came undone! 😱
Just moments ago, I picked up my Seiko Tuna from the watch box, and was shookt when the bracelet slipped right off the foam cushion. Turns out one of the screws holding the bracelet links somehow came loose and fell off. Yikes! Good thing it didn't happen while I was wearing the watch, and that the little pin didn't roll too far away. 😮💨
The bracelet is a beads of rice style from an aftermarket brand called Miltat. Its build quality is decent overall, with a good heft and a solid milled clasp. The bracelet links are affixed with screws rather than the pin-and-collar style, which is convenient -- until something like this happens.
I'll just re-tighten the screws again every now and then. Hopefully the bracelet stays secure when I'm wearing it. Looks like good old pin-and-collar is still the more secure option.

Thank god you wasn’t wearing it. I get paranoid sticking my arm out the car when I’m driving for this reason. Imagine on the highway! Gotta tuck and roll for it James Bond style
Be careful though, Loctite Blue actually comes in a red tube, and vice versa.
Thanks, I'll give that a try. It seems the motions of the bracelet causes the screws to loosen over time.

This is why pin and collar will always be my preferred system. Loctite of course is the solution but when it comes to "set it and forget it" systems without external help, I have learned to appreciate pin and collars.
Good thing it happened at home and not like me, outside about to hop on my motorcycle
This is why, as much as I hate how OCD I am about my watches, I am so particular about checking anything I wear that day thoroughly before putting it back
Yes, screws may be more convenient to size the bracelet but for the same reason they are more prone to loosen and potentially be catastrophic. Pin and collar are more secure in the long run although they might not be as "nice"
What is LocTite for? Does it prevent the screws from getting loose?
