Killer Combos
Guys, I don’t know about you but since today I think I’ve found my Killer Combo (an inhouse one, if you will).
The Green PRX Powermatic with the White Rubber Strap.
Geez Louise but I’m completely over the moon with this combo (and for the 50 quid I got the strap for).
The PRX‘s bracelet is amazing, don’t get me wrong, but in this combination: some moisture in the corners of my mouth 🤤
Do you have any combinations (inhouse, integrated, standard lugs, whathaveyou…) that are worthy of some foam bubbles?

I was looking to sell my green PRX and get the ice blue dial along with the white rubber strap. Now I will have to think about it😅

Keep the Green I’d say. It is, in my opinion, the more „timeless“ colorway.

Yes it is the official PRX strap which wears like a dream.
I got it through „eBay Kleinanzeigen“ though.
Some mate sold this one from the pure white lume dial version because he ordered the steel bracelet.
It was unworn and stickered and I got it for nearly half the retail.

You can order it from a Tissot AD currently. Will take them a couple of weeks to get but that is the only current option until they start selling online in their website. It is around $55-60 based on the color.

I got the green PRX because it was the only good color out of the three available. And I barely wore in the 6 months and when I wanted to give it a try again, the movement had an issue and I had to send the watch back under warranty.
I will get the white strap and try it out once I get the watch back. I really like the combination.
Plus, Im getting couple of green Seikos and this green PRX dial just looks too dull compared to those.

But none in my area(s) can deliver since Tissot utterly miscalculated the demand for a rubber strap for the PRX.
The one thing there was an outcry over when they’ll finally release… so… totally understandable and completely surprising that the 5 straps they delivered worldwide were snatched up the second they hit store shelves…

I really like the „two colors in one“ with the green PRX and how it shimmers. And of course I like the waffle dial.

The SAX055 is baby snowflake after all, really one of the best dials in the Seiko family.
I'm getting the SPB153 Green Willard and SRPE45 Presage plus maybe a third if I can track down the JDM variant of Seiko 5 SRPD63 ( I have been in a green dial phase recently). I also have the green Alpinist already and compared to that PRX green is quite dull. I like the PRX green when the sunlight hits the dial but always thought it need some spicing up, a little glossier square facets on the waffle dial could have given it a little brightening up. The white strap definitely makes the watch much nicer than it looks on a bracelet. I'm going to pick up the white strap when I get the watch back to give it a go.
Also, I haven't gotten any updates on the service of my watch and my AD said they could provide a replacement if the issue is not solved within three months.
I enquired about the straps to my Tissot AD and he said two to four weeks for them to order the straps and receive them. I tried on the lume dial variant and the strap is really good. For $55 is sensibly priced too compared to the aftermarket ones available, especially $185 for the Delugs rubber straps was ridiculous. Delugs recently reduced all the pricing to $100-135 depending on the colours because of Tissot releasing OEM straps. Tissot rubber straps are really good, I have an 8 year old T-race model on the OEM rubber strap and it is still great.

Ngl the green and white strap combo is better. The contrast is better with green.
The ice blue and white give more subtle summer vibes. I will have a hard time deciding now since I just have one blue dial in the collection now 😅
Tissot really added another winner when they came out with the white rubber strap as it totally changes the look of all the PRX colors. I am on the fence about buying a PRX as there are so many integrated, "wish they were AP Royal Oaks". Just thinking it may end up being just another fad. Also, the new Christopher Ward 12 is just a killer.

Yo, this watch fucks. The combination is absolutely killer. Funny enough, I also want to get a white rubber strap for my SPB313. I saw this photo of the watch on Instagram and it's one of the reasons why I was saving up for this puppy.
Looking at these photos makes me want to put a white rubber on my Nodus Avalon II, but I am sure the white rubber will catch the dirt easily

I will see how it holds up and keeps the color.
I reckon that with a bit of (daily) care the strap will remain shiny (hopefully).
