What if...?

Imagine if Tudor would release a Pelagos to Homage there 1969 Tudor Snowflake Submariner… What it would look like? In theory and in my wildest dreams the parts are already there.

The Recipe is simple and the Ingredients:

1 Pelagos 39 Case and Bracelet

1 Pelagos FXD Dial (ok, size not right and the red text is optional)

1 Set of Black Bay 58 Hands

1 Black Bay 58 blue Bezel

And you got a pretty close modern equivalent.

Thank you Russell @MWC2020 for the idea in your great Video! ✌️✌️What you Crunchers think?

Didn’t San Martin already do this?

Well, unfortunatly the homage/copycat Industry never sleeps! 😅 But i think that the Tudor one would be a different kind of powerhouse, since they probably would use one of their new Metas Certified Movements. ✌️

Agreed.

I think Tudor would be slightly insane not to offer the Pelagos 39 in blue.

(Although I might forgive them if they do the Black Bay GMT in the new slimmer BB case with jubilee 😁)

Agree too… although i love my original Tudor GMT. 🥰

I like the Pelagos Line but my only gripe are the hands. In my eyes they look slightly cheap, because they are coated. I would rather like them polished or brushed metal. Now, when i think about it, brushed metal to match the case would look absolutely killer! 👌👌

Superb my friend!!!

Enter Baselworld 2024...

·

Very nice. I’d do my best to buy one.

·

Omfg, I almost fell over... This would be it!

·

Release it with a blue variant, black and maybe a green “hulk” style and I’d legit buy all three I love the Tudor subs and I think this would be an amazing way to make them again without Tudor actually making a submariner

·

I'd empty my checking account without looking 😍

·

I’d prefer if they released a Pelagos that kept its lume on underwater, but that might be a leap too far.

·

THIS, in a FXD w/countdown, black of course would be awesome. I'd take leave and immediately go to nearest Tudor AD 😂.

I've been waiting for a blue dial 39mm Titanium Pelegos

Superb my friend!!!

I was kind hoping for a Yeeeeeee-------s ! Had a ton of drive time today and totally serial watched you my man. If you coach like you do watch reviews we will be seeing a few of your students hoisting some silver plates soon! Wearing Rolex as brand ambassadors of course

This has come up on some of the YouTubers I watch and the general consensus is that it would be great, but Tudor is generally only allowed to play the weird step child with its designs and not do stuff that would really eat Rolex's lunch. So something like this would be frowned on, is the general thought.

The Pelagos 39 needs a blue version !

Yes. Unfortunatly. But i think the only thing that the Pelagos 39 is missing to be a next level Tudor Submariner are the metal hands. That would be an easy fix. The name Pelagos can stay because is the thing that makes the Tudor a Tudor and not some Rolex competitor! ✌🏻️

Agree! 👍🏻

I think Tudor needs to create something new now.

I have 3 Tudors and they all look very much the same.
