Help with summer straps!

I have a small collection of microbrand watches. They're not exactly dress, but they're definitely not divers or pilots. The Farer in the photo is my most recent. So far I only have them on leather straps, as I prefer that look to a steel bracelet. But now that it's getting warm, I need more options!

So: What kind of straps make for the most comfortable, sweat-resistant (or cleanable), colorful, well-made options? I need thoughts on both material (nato, canvas, rubber) and makers, if possible. Quick-release straps only, please.

Edit: I should add: I'm not going in the water. I'm not a diver, nor much of a swimmer. But I'd like a strap I don't have to take off every time I'm going to sweat.

Thanks all!

I like the Chevron single-pass fabric straps from Crown & Buckle. I think they look better than NATOs, with less material to deal with.

Barton has several options and materials in quick release.

Nylon, silicone, etc.

If you buy a set of quick release spring bars you can always use single pass NATO/Zulu style. Nothing says you can't use quick release bars by themselves. And any NATO can be made single pass, just cut off the secondary strap, and then take a lighter to cut.

Perlon is another option for material. Just Google Perlon and you'll have a glut of choices.

Elastic straps are good too. Erikas Originals, Mankey Designs, Watch Steward, etc.

Any synthetic material is easily washed, take it off the watch, put in a sock, place sock in pocket of jeans/pants, wash in the laundry.

Would recommend air dry though.

Excellent info. Thanks -- I was just on Barton's site. I've typically used Hirsch, but they don't seem to have as wide a selection in non-leather choices. Been reading about Perlon, that seems like a good option.

Yeah, they are a little thick but otherwise they are the best.

In that vein Bonklip or Forstner...

I’m not a NATO fan, but they work for humid conditions.

I use tropic rubber straps when I’m traveling to those types of climates. Holben’s is my go to.

Many brands do a leather strap with rubber backing for that purpose exactly 👍😉 Here are two from Hirsch, but many brands do straps like these. But for maximum breathability any fabric strap would be better than leather or rubber 😁

Zuludiver/Geckota have some as well.

On that note their Octopod is an interesting concept. I have one, not as easily changeable as I'd thought, but is actually quite comfortable and infinitely adjustable.

I love the Barton watch Elite rubber.

They are really comfy, wide range of size and colors. the two tone allows to make fun with the colors.

I bought one for my Farer Resolute :

Really like the Bonito Cinturini rubber NATO straps https://www.bonettocinturini.it/en/catalogue/nato/38-mod-328 - I have one in 22mm on my Unimatic. Very comfortable and flexible, also strong and easy to clean. Mine has been regularly in the water (including sea), covered in sun screen, etc. and is pretty much like new. In the UK I have purchased from Zuludiver - they generally are re-branded by the reseller as BC don't sell direct as far as I am aware. (photos from Zuludiver & BC website)

I'm always looking for new sources of straps. These look pretty good. Can you give a quick review?

Yep, I have FKM straps in many colors from Juelong. I think they must be the OEM for many FKM straps sold by other companies.

I'm big on Hirsch Performance straps. Not the cheapest out there, but they get the job done for the sweaty summer hater I am!

I saw those. Hirsch is usually my go-to, but those are out of my price range for now. Thanks for the tip.
