The Most Underrated Watches From These Brands

With the number of watches each company produces, there are bound to be ones left out in the dust. And we're not talking about the popularity of certain colorways on an already popular watch, we're looking at ones that you don't see often even on this platform. 1. For the Yacht-Master series, the I is fairly popular as it is more reasonable in its aesthetic and its place in the Rolex lineup, but the II on the other hand is a completely different animal. While it certainly has a yachting look, the sheer size and business of its design has it being the ostrich of the entire Rolex brand, and they haven't even updated it in almost a decade. 2. For being a part of the Master series, the Globemaster is always forgotten in the canon of Omega. It's never properly marketed, hasn't really been updated, nor does it look any different from all the other watches except for the pie pan dial. It's not a bad watch, just not a great Omega. 3. When most people think of Tudor, they think value Rolex and that's mostly due to having the same designs and heritage as the big yellow crown. So what happens when you have a watch that does not share any of that design language that people want out of Rolex's sister? You get the Royal, and like the Globemaster, it's not a bad watch, but it's constrained by people's perception of the Tudor brand and what they want out of it, and it is simply not the Royal. 4. A vintage-inspired military pilot chronograph watch from a classical high-horology watchmaker? In the case of the Type XX, it was the French military who contracted watchmakers to create a high-spec chronograph. Over the years, the style of this simple pilot’s chronograph has influenced countless other brands and has been straight-up copied by many, and it became a staple of the modern Breguet lineup. It's actually a great watch, but very visually out of place amidst the lineup of Breguet's Classique and Tradition series. What do you think are some underrated watches from other major brands?

I think Breguet in general is overlooked and underrated. So for the matter alone the Type XX was my pick.

Rolex explorer II is the best Rolex. It’s a combination of a sub and a gmt master and it’s cheaper than both

Breguet are keeping quiet because the last thing they want is for their parent company to remember that they exist and Swatchify them to death.

You hardly see or read about the Omega Globemaster, it's more like a placeholder on Omega's web site rather than a serious attempt to sell a product.

Globemaster annual calendar is on my list for some time now. The prices are a little high.

The globemaster has all the ingredients to be a perfect watch, but for some reason it’s overlooked by everyone (omega included)

The yacht master would be really handy for timing my morning tea. It’s a shame it’s only a 10 minute count down. If it was an hour I might actually try to buy one.
