conquest vs Alpiner

Hey guys, I have about 1k to spend on a watch for myself..my company has a point system and they offer the 41 longines conquest and the alpina alpiner.

Anyone have an opinion?

Have you tried either of these? good/bad news?

If not what would you recommend?

I work in a normal ol boring pharma office if that helps. probably not.

Hmm, to me, the Alpina is far more interesting though there is something to be said about the Conquest functioning as a better GADA watch if that counts for anything. While both are steel sports watches, they are distinctly different, with very few overlapping traits… meaning I could see someone owning both. Really just comes down to which one you like more.

If it were me, and limited to only the two brand’s catalogs, I’d probably opt to save more and get something from Longines. Being a fan of their Heritage collection, I’d want their sector dial or if willing to save for awhile their tuxedo chronograph. Just my two cents - good luck! 👍

Conquest all the way. 👍🏽👍🏽🔥

The Longines if these are the only 2 choices.

There are so many options for $1k. What do you like and what are you looking for in a watch?

You know... you have to go with what you prefer, both are good. Longines may be more versatile due to strap changing ease. Alpina's integrated straps will make replacing/ switching more difficult unless lobgines is 21mm lug width? Is the Longines a quartz, and do you have a preference of quartz vs Automatic. Both have advantages? Ingested to see your choice.

Longines. Hands down.

·

I prefer the look of the Longines, but have no other reference points

Not sure anyone can really help you here :-) Both are good looking watches from strong brands with an impressive heritage. So it's down to personal taste. Personally, I like the Alpiner much better, I think it's a very well executed and interesting design. The Longines is more of an 'office watch' though if that's an important factor.

I own the Conquest in 39mm and I am very very happy with it. For me it's the perfect GADA watch (in this price range). It looks good with a suit and casual outfits and you can take it to the pool a well.

Longines.

The Longines Conquest for me. Probably more versatile. The Alpina is a nice looking watch though, but as has already been said you may have problems with aftermarket straps.

·

I think the Longines is better because you can wear it with anything! You can dress it up or down and it is more classy than the alpiner!

·

I like the conquest better

·

I also prefer the Longines.

Conquest!
