Welcome! I am keen on getting a Vostok, but have been turned off by the acrylic "crystal". How have you found it?

It's honestly not that bad, I did actually scratch it when I first took it out of the box and was removing the links to resize the band, but I just took some Polywatch (6 bucks on Amazon), put a little bit on the crystal and polished it with a microfiber cloth and that took away the scratch in like 2 minutes of work. Haven't scratched it since, but I know if I do, some Polywatch will clear it right up! I know some people think the watch looks better when its all scratched up anyways since it has that ancient vintage look to it as well, haha.
The crystal by itself is actually really interesting compared to the standard mineral crystal you get on other watches. It gives a nice, warm, bubbled effect when the light hits it, making the dial pop a lot more.

Careful with those Vostok watches! They are like Casios! Very addictive! I bought one Komandirskie and before I knew it, I had three or four Amphibias and Komandirskies in my collection! 🤣
