Newly minted watch enthusiast (I got seriously interested in watches in late 2022).
I aim to build a small collection (5-6) pieces over the course of the years. I'm mostly into Tudor & Seiko these days and I'd probably buy a dozen watches from both brands if I could. James Bond made me a big Omega fan, so I'm hoping to get one down the road. Perhaps the final piece in the collection?
I also like German watchmakers (e.g. NOMOS, Sinn, Damasko, Muehle) a lot and I've spent a lot of time lusting over their pieces.

How do you feel about screw-in crowns for manually wound movements?
I'm wondering if people are annoyed that they have to unscrew the crown every day. I'm also wondering if such frequent activity much be harmful for the threading of the crown.
How much (wrist) activity is needed to fully wind an automatic watch?
I've been wondering lately how much activity is needed to fully wind a typical automatic movements like ETA-2824 or SW-200. Will something like walkin...
Do you like fauxtina (usually Old Radium Superluminova)?
How do you feel about this common technique to make a new watch look vintage? I hate it, but I see such watches are quite common, so I guess many people like them. I want to know how many! :-)
I've noticed that the so called "perfect fit" for straps/bracelets is quite elusive for various reasons: - lack of enough micro-adjustment on some bracelets (butterfly clasps are infamous for their co...
Which of the following German fliegers do you prefer and why? All of them are modern takes on the original flieger designs and all 3 companies have a long history, with Stowa and Laco being two of the...
