Have you ever had doubts about a watch you liked just because it had a date/day date complication that made the dial asymmetrical?

yes. absolutely. 100%
Interesting that you've given two symmetrical picture options...(?)
I'll go asymmetric 9 times out of 10. Symmetry is like music in 4/4, text in Arial font, a Rubic's cube that's been completed.

I just noticed that, my bad. Some of us want to check if the door is closed 3 times before actually leaving for work…

I’m glad I’m not alone on this.
I choose my watch for function over form, and I find a date handy, so I avoid no date watches.
I’ve never been bothered by a date at 6.
Oh no, I can't decide. Maybe it depends on the watch.
Date...
Nope, doesn’t bother me
I’m cool with a 6 o’clock date. That way it’s still symmetrical.
I prefer having a date complication. Day not so much.
I love a date function. They make me happy in a world where I have to put the date on forms all the time.
Generally I’m drawn to the more beautiful dateless watches- even tho I use the date a lot when I’m wearing a watch with one. I’m just silly I guess.
Edit - a pointer date is the way to go!
There have been so many times when I've gone to check the date on a watch without a date window and been frustrated. I hate having to take out my phone for this. In the end, and despite my love of a clean dial, I really prefer having a date on my watches. I once despised the 4:30 date window; now, it wouldn't stop me from buying a watch I liked.
Standard day windows are useless and I've never seen a watch that wouldn't look better without one. If Seiko never put a day window on their watches again I'd consider it a cause for celebration. No complaints about a Day-Date, though!
Hate date complications - completely useless for anyone who has a functional memory, only necessary once per day.
Day complications? 🤯
