Thanks for sharing and I'm glad you got through and made it to a better place. It got me thinking - it's not that watches like this remind us of our struggles, it's that they remind us about how we overcame them.
I'm late to the party but I've got lots of love for the Kamasu. It's been a fantastic "beach beater" and an absolutely incredible value, especially considering it runs well within single digit tolerances. Still highly recommended!
There have been so many times when I've gone to check the date on a watch without a date window and been frustrated. I hate having to take out my phone for this. In the end, and despite my love of a clean dial, I really prefer having a date on my watches. I once despised the 4:30 date window; now, it wouldn't stop me from buying a watch I liked.
Standard day windows are useless and I've never seen a watch that wouldn't look better without one. If Seiko never put a day window on their watches again I'd consider it a cause for celebration. No complaints about a Day-Date, though!
Dang, I really need to consider CW for my next diver. These are both really nice. It'd probably be the Atoll for me, but only because I like fun, vibrant dials and I've been looking in particular for a SS bezel diver.
EDIT: The more I look at the Atoll the more I'm falling in love. Wow! It might just be my next purchase!
