If you like it - truly like it and it's comfortable on YOUR wrist - then rock it. My wrist is tiny, also, and the regular Pelagos was too big for me, as I can only pull off 48L2L. I know that the aesthetic is different, but the Pelagos 39 is still QUITE a watch, even if you give up some of the rugged appeal of the original.

Ultimately, it's how it makes you feel. 🙂 If you are really sweating it, you could always buy a replica/homage to see how a very close size fits after a couple weeks. Then you only lose $200 instead of trying to resell $4K.

For my money, the original was too big on my wrist, but I loved the 39 for fit and finish. Bottom line is that if YOU love it and it's comfy and everything you wanted it to be for your money, don't sweat our opinions. 🙂 I still love a chonky Panerai on my wrist, and I know I can't wear those, so I get it!

Hope that helps!

Love the Monta stuff, great choice! The build quality is truly excellent for the price (and more), the specs are very good, and they have a refined and different design language that's cohesive and classic. Plus, they're nice folks! Congrats and I hope you love it - please keep us posted!

There are so many great micros out there that are doing amazing work, putting out original designs, creating with passion and integrity, and for pretty remarkable prices! Do some more (fun) research to see what kind of thing you might like. Several smaller companies have been successful for a few years now, so you get a better sense of their ability to adapt and keep putting out product, too.

If you get the chance, check out something like the Windup Watch Fair, where you can meet those folks and try on a bunch of watches in person. That's sometimes a drawback to the micros in that without storefronts you don't have an opportunity to try them on for fit and feel.

Hope that helps!

I have this one, and can assure you it's lovely and special - congrats on your choice! The 556 really fits like a dream and the dial is beguiling, catching the light and sparkling a bit, but subtly. Hope you love it!

ROFL It really is...You heading to NYC this weekend? 3 of us are heading up there, and I am just cutting all my cards up right now. It's the only safe option.

Nah, missed the event, but we love Chris and the folks at LT! My wallet is never safe in there...lol

I really like both of these, and it was a toss up for me: they're both too big for my puny wrists. lol A GMT isn't really something I "need", so I'd get more use out of the Pelagos. It comes down to which you'd use more, or which fills that void in the collection, right? The Pelagos is more iconic, but also less versatile.

Which did you prefer, and which do you "need"? ;-) Ideally, just buy both and cover all the base. muahaha Hope that helps!
