Sinn 556i Mother of Pearl
I’m a sucker for interesting colored dials… but, lately I’ve been wanting a black dial watch to kind of go with anything. I came upon this 556i mop that is basically black/dark grey until it sees some light. It’s like I’ll get to satisfy my colored dial itch and at the same time have that black dial watch I’ve been looking for.
Any other mother of pearl watches out there that you’re aware of? Does anyone have the 556i mop?

That is an amazing dial. Very subdued in most lighting but nice colour pops in sunlight.
Zelos does MOP dials too but in comparison to this, very loud and bright.

Definitely. Because it’s mother of pearl everyone is unique and different. I do see some that I like and dislike online. Hopefully I get one out of a good batch 😂

Love it! Almost like an old master oil painting!
One of my favorite takes on the 556. The slimmer hands have been the one thing to make me pause on getting one. I’d love to see it with the standard 556 hands.
I Am not a fan of mop tbh. However I do like seeing brands use it and I feel like it represents solid craftsmanship quality when it being used.

I have this one, and can assure you it's lovely and special - congrats on your choice! The 556 really fits like a dream and the dial is beguiling, catching the light and sparkling a bit, but subtly. Hope you love it!
I've seen it in person and it's really nice. The main reason I ended up buying another dial is because 556 is supposed to be a tool watch and I went with a solid colour dial instead.
Nonetheless, I'm sure that it will still be a beloved watch and able to fulfill what you've mentioned. It's a good piece, definitely worth shortlisting it!
