Starting of my trip to Crete with a flight of course. And my eldest son got to go in the cockpit while we were stuck waiting on the green light. He was wearing his Casio, so he probably started the watch talk. Because when I popped my head in to check what took so long one of the pilots said: "So, you are a watch enthusiast". He was wearing a rare Zenith Pilot and the co-pilot was wearing a Tag Carrera. We talked for a while. One of the flight crew also had one of the "new" fixed bezel Seiko 5s, he was a grumpy bastard..
From there I have seen mostly Rolexes (beside random cheap watches I could not identify). A very ugly Daytona, a freaking ton of regular black bezel Subs + a couple of OPs and DayDates. And a lot of the latter models for women too. I have probably seen more than ten times as many Rolexes these two weeks than I have seen my whole life until that point. We stayed at a fancy beachbar(because we know the owners by now)when we were at the beach, and that's where I saw the most Rollies.
I also saw a couple of G-Shocks, a couple of SKXs. I think I saw two Planet Oceans. And probably some I forgot. But the funnest spottings I had was a Citizen AquaLand and two Panerais. One of the Parerais belonged to a young father me and one of my son passed on the beach heading back from a snorkeling expedition. He had a black nato with stripes matching the cream lume of the watch. Sure sign og a nerd and I complimented his watch while we passed. He seemed shocked by the whole thing.
I wore my Synchron on the sharkmesh the whole vacation. In the sand, sea, pool and so on. Stod up to the tasks just fine ๐
And now some random photos:

I'm home by now ๐ And that was the best part. Getting home. It's not very relaxing to be on vacation with two active boys. But it was fun ๐
Looks like a nice vacay! What shark mesh is that?
fun stuff! i must be travelling to the wrong places. it seems like i never spot any watches.

I was very surprised too. But the fun part was having a watch chat with the pilots ๐ I didn't think they let people in the cockpit anymore since 9/11.

Strapcode. Polished with taper. Very good but not perfect. I can make it perfect with a Dremel, I just habe to do it ๐
Nice watch and photos, I had to google image search it. Hectic holiday huh, as parents you must have discovered Calpol by now (not to sure what its called in Norway).๐
That Synchron with the yellow accents ๐

I also like the nod to the Ploprof with the hands ๐
Nice vacay pics!
Funny - @Edge168n now doesn't really bother with Rolex sightings in his watches in wild series as they are too dang common in his world ๐
For what it's worth, they aren't super common here in YVR so Rolex wearers who are sad nobody cares might want to visit my city.
Great trip with the fam :)
