Exit plan: Edition B 🤡

Yesyes, bring on the naysay... I might as mentioned been a tad too quick on the trigger gathering my end all be all collection.

So here is what's going to happen kids. I'm doing my best to sell the red Metal G-Shock Square at a lowlow price, but I'll probably have to price it at 100$ to get rid of it. It doesn't fit in my collection... Am I gonna replace it? No, I theoretically replaced it with the Tuna MarineMaster when I got that. And the original plan was a 3-watch collection.

I'm gonna sandpaper the G to make it a bit more rugged looking like I initially planned (and YOU guys disuaded me from), if I can't sell it for for 100$ or over.

The rest of the watches are safe for now. I have thought about selling everything and getting the Black Bay Pro. I have also have thought about switching the Tuna with a yellow dial Doxa 300T making it an all swiss collection.

I realize the finality of "quitting" adds some stress but I think the collection is pretty perfect as is.

The Black Bay 36 is the cornerstone and everyday watch. I sometimes find it boring but the things that makes it boring are the same things that makes it a discrete and versetile with it's clean and classical look. As a sidenote: That steel with polishing gives the watch a dull warmth that makes it look titaniumesque in certain lights 🤔

The Tuna with a yellow strap is funky, fun and sporty but not in a flashy way like a Doxa would be. And I feel that it's more like a beater than a Doxa would be.

I love the dial and case shape of my vintage Omega. What could I possibly switch this out with!? It's a dress piece with the right strap, funky with another.

I got rugged sporty, understated classy, funky vintage in my collection and what else could I want? And I can live without one of the watches in case of emergency. If one needs service or becomes broken and needs to be replaced. The BB 36 is it's own one man army and the two others can cover for the Black Bay if that should be taken out 💪

For now nothing will happen beyond the reduction of 1 watch, the G. The economic situation is such that I can think and think and make trippel, double sure that this is a good and sustainable plan, but I can't buy any of the watches that are other possible contenders for my escape.

I really like your collection. 😍

Thanks 😊 Me too!! Seeing how things tighten financially makes me appreciate my pieces more and makes me realize that they are actually are true luxury products (for me) 🙏 We are doing fine btw, just starting to feel the downturn in the economy globally, but not all as lucky.

Goodbye Big Red G,

Though I never knew you at all,

You were the grace to hold yourself,

While those around you crawled.

...

And it seems to me you lived your life like a candle in the wind,

Never knowing who to cling to when the rain set in,

And I would like to know you but I was just a kid

Your candle burned out long before your legend ever did.

Salute to the Big Red G

Thanks for the tip! Great lookin' straps 👌

That's a nice collection. And I'm not a fan of g-shocks anyway so getting rid of it is addition by subtraction.

·

I like G-Shocks. But they usually get swapped quickly and that's not what I'm trying for here 😅

I'm was thinking that if I lost the financial ability (theoretically) or something like that, to buy any more watches. Would I be happy, and the answer is yes. I also thought I would be more appericiate my watches more and be more proud if I were in a worse economic situation. So why shouldn't I be now?

The yellow Doxa is one good looking watch, I wear mine and can’t stop looking at it when it’s on the wrist.

Indeed beautiful... This is one of the few watches that makes break when I think about that I'm not supposed to buy any more watches 😅
