Booked my first automatic watch
I was looking for a Seiko 5 series. but then I saw a this brand zeppelin and I was highly convinced to book my first automatic watch.
loved the looks and complications which I felt better compared to seiko. It does runs on a Japanese citizen miyota 8217. I read online that the rotor of 8000 series is little noisy. for me thats completely fine.
I did wanted to choose something uncommon. Where as seiko 5 series has become very common these days and I found zeppelin to be good looking and value for money buy
whats your thought on my selection? Do you think I should have gone for seiko’s?

It is lazy advice to suggest a Seiko 5 for someone's first mechanical watch. (I have given such advice.)

Thanks for your kind words❤️. Obviously I am happy with this purchase still when I shared with my frnds they were like you should have gone for seiko. And I told even if I didn’t like Zeppelin im not going to backoff from this decision. I know the Seiko’s are really good watches. I can get them any time.
This felt special than Seiko to me at this time.

Zeppelin is one of the POINTtec brands, probably the largest private label watch manufacturer in Germany by volume. I wouldn't expect any surprises from that type of watch, there is actually a large manufacturer behind it. I also like the cream dial. (Just don't take it to Lakehurst, New Jersey.)

I love this choice… personally, the watch journey is about going with where your interest and aesthetic lies. The herd mentality of Seiko and Tudor often just makes my 🙄
If you’ve got a more independent idea on the kind of thing you’re looking for and that thing lives outside of the sheep fodder that is 80-90% of YouTube and forum content, then go for it.
Your Zeppelin is a truly lovely piece. As @Aurelian has already said... it’ll now be about living with it for a while and learning from the experience of ownership to see what it leads you into next. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
