NWA: Blancpain Leman Flyback Chronograph 2185-1130-71
My first watch from a Haute Horlogerie watch company. Crazy moment! The movement comes from the legendary watch manufacturer Frédéric Piguet, whose founders, together with Claude Biver, bought the rights to Blancpain in 1983. Blancpain movements were used by Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe, among others, because of their thinness and excellent craftsmanship.
In my opinion, the watch is an eye-catcher and its dial design reminds me of a pilot's watch. Although there is a lot on the dial, the watch manages to negate all these elements elegantly and timelessly. The strap is one of the best I have ever tried. It has the flexibility of a Jubilee with the design of an Oyster bracelet. The movement has not been overhauled or checked since it was bought in 2000. It only loses 5 seconds on the watch tester. Proof of the quality and longevity of Blancpain movements! It is also remarkable how well the glass is anti-reflective, because no matter from which angle you look, you can always tell the time. Never had a watch with such an high-quality standard!
I was lucky enough to buy this watch from a well-known Swiss architect who has used it sporadically and it is therefore in NOS condition.
