Thoughts on Pagani Design

I used to not like these. But then I got a couple in the fall AliExpress sale and I'm pretty pleased with them.

Not a fan, think they should stick to their original designs. Some things are supposed to be hard to get that’s what makes them better. I personally could never be happy with a homage I’d rather get a unique watch of that price point instead.

i understand that perspective for sure, and i would agree if your collection is all homage watches, but for me i dont think a couple hurt, especially if you are in a point in your life where you can't afford the real deal. But to each their own

I have a couple and I think they're fine. I have no particular issue with the homage principle. I know mine isn't an Omega, cos if it was I'd want a refund in terms of quality. I like the design, and it allows me to have that in a watch I don't have to worry about that performs fairly well.

I wouldn’t class these as homage. If they had any part of their own design language and took cues from others, I’d consider it a homage. These are just like for like copies.

I very often talk about this brand when non-enthousiasts ask me recommandations about their next watch purchase. (They generaly don't have a lot of money to spend in watches so Pagani seem perfect)

For those of us who can only dream of owning a Rolex GMT or Daytona. PD comes across as that go to without pretending it's something it's not... I would rather buy one of these than trying to get away with a fake.. I would be more embarrassed wearing a fake Rolex and get called out for it. At least you wear one of these with the appreciation of the Rolex look without convince anyone it's a Rolex especially if they collect watches.. just read the label . Yes it's a homage and I wish PD would focus more on there own design. But, some of the Rolex watches out there are just stunning to the eyes.. for me on a budget who doesn't have $25k, For the value they have been great. I have nothing against them I have a few. Just my own personal opinion.

Fine with me,I've a varied collection. I've paid my dues to the money tree that is Swiss watchmaking (in a small way, not got any of the big boys yet). They generate interest in the big brands and are great value for money. And guess what they have brought out some more original designs recently.

I have a few PD’s, and am happy with them for the price. I recently got a Steinhart homage, and will say it’s significantly better. I think I’ve switched favorite homage brand to Steinhart, though I’ll always keep the PD’s I have.

In my opinion Pagani Design watches are not homages, they are just cheap copies. Hence, I would never ever consider buying one of these things. I just cannot imagine myself wearing a fake watch.

Solid specs for the price. Lets enthusiasts of any budget enjoy popular designs. Not the brand for me.

D. I would wear one as a gift but am not going to spend my own money on one.
