Orient Mako iii

Just ordered the “new” Orient Mako iii in the burnt orange variant. Was wondering if anyone else has gotten one and if so, how do you like it?

Very nice! I'm debating the blue one

I’ve only got good things to say about its cousin. A replacement bracelet goes a long way but the watch itself has well finished details and is an awesome wearing experience

Good question. I'd add one: is it worth to upgrade from the mako II?

I would be curious to know that too, this is my first Orient Diver, I’ve owned a bambino before tho.

Love mine so far, got the exact same one and can't stop liking it.

Only thing I would say as a nag is the bracelet as it can be a bit chunky at 22mm with no taper, but doesn't take back from a great watch!

Only other thing is the naming, as not sure if we can call it mako 3... Any views @SamSam ahah?

All said, I would say go for it!

Congratulations

Super solid design. I am digging that colorway as well!

My Kamasu journey started with the Mako II

After that I tried the Kamasu gen 1 and loved it, the green version

Sold that to get the black:

Sold that one to get the blue

Later generation II was released so I sold the blue to get the Black/grey from gen II:

And ended up with the red/burgundy version

I have not owned particularly the model you are looking for but I can tell that this red one was the most interesting one I have owned so far. Very special watch that even gets more special with a Miltat strap that I have purchased and changed the original strap. I believe it fits with the newer models as well. Yes it will lose its affordable feature as the bracelet is not cheap. But for this watch the upgrade was worth every single cent!

Over the websites they do called as Mako 3. So I'm sure there's no problem with that 😂. But whatever the name is, it's an amazingly valued watch. He made a great decision picking one up! 👏🏻

You won't regret it. The only thing that will probably make you doubt it is the colour. You might want other colour after owning it. But all in all, it's an amazing piece. You'll love it for sure! Congratulations! 👏🏻
