Hamilton Khaki Field 38mm or 42mm

Do you think this is right fit? Or should I consider 42mm?

38 all day!!!

Say no to bigger than 40.

Based on that picture the 42mm  would  obscure your wrist.

Plus 38mm is the perfect size for this style, despite wrist size.

I have the 42, and love it. I guess based on your wrist size you can go with 38. Great choice you will enjoy the watch a lot.

I know people go by wrists size. I say go with what ever makes you happy. I have a very small wrist and I love pilot watches so most watches can go up to 46mm so I stop caring I just wear what I like and feels good on my wrist.

Based on my wrist size, do you think the 42 will fit me better?

In my opinion, and based on the picture, the 42 would fit you worse. But it’s up to your own preferences.

That looks about right. The 42 would probably be a bit big.

Posting your wrist size would be helpful though...

I join the 38mm supporters. But as stated earlier it’s your watch and your opinion that matters.

This is the perfect size. Anything bigger would look like a hubcap off of a Buick. This watch is beyond beautiful and 38 is your size

I had the 42 mm before I learned about usual sizes depending on type of watch. A field watch was thought to be smaller unobtrusive thus 38mm would be a better purpose fit. I sold the 42mm and wished I had gotten the 38mm instead. There's another reason. The date window in the 42mm is a bit off and moves the 24 hour 15 mark a bit too much to the center and once seen, it cannot be unseen. The 38mm is way more symmetric in my book.
