I bought my first mechanical watch back in the late eighties. And that was it for a while. I did not make a conscious effort to collect watches. It's just that as my career progressed I started acquiring watches, pre-owned or brand new, that struck my fancy. And lo and behold, before you know it, I've accumulated a stable of more than 25 watches within a span of just over 10 years. 😅
