So I think you are referring to Marshall from Wristwatch Revival. I have been watching his videos for a couple of years now and have always felt him to be a straightforward guy.
He does make a point to say that he is always learning and that he has plenty to learn still, a mark of a generally honest man.
Perhaps what has you thinking he learned everything in 6 months is that he took a course from the Wristwatch Repair Channel that was the major source of his initial training, and that may have taken anout 6 months. Either way I think he presents an interesting and entertaini g series of videos about watchmaking.
I would loved to have gotten one of the originals with the misprinted dials as it would have been a unique piece down the road. However, it is a good looking piece...congratulations.
This rather misses the main benefit of a NATO, that being that you won't lose the watch should one of your springbars fail.
I have one co-worker who is into watches, although he just likes to look and is smart enough not to waste his money on them. However, other than that absolutely no one I know cares a wit about watches. I am a watch island onto myself LOL.
Let's face facts, you don't need a reason. Afterall, Zodiac is just killing it with the colors on the SSW!
