Every couple weeks, there's a post about our love/hate relationship with natos.
I can summarize it by "Love the look... Hate the fit"
Well I've bit my tongue for 3 years while developing the Zero Pass strap, but today is the big reveal.
Watch the video to learn about the design process. Let me know your thoughts!
Anachronist.shop is where you can find them

I donโt hate nato strapsโฆ I hate the dangly strap that is left over ๐๐๐
Jokes on you max, that patent is not stopping me from making my own right now ๐คฃ

Love the tuck
Fantastic idea. Iโm ordering one. โ
That's a game changer for sure.
Thanks bro!

My lawyer is trying to reach you ๐คฃ

Cheers my friend!
Looks great @Max - congratulations! I think you've chosen the perfect range to launch with, sure they will do really well. As mentioned in my YouTube comment, be good if at some future point David can ship direct in the UK - his straps are brilliant in my experience, have a few from him, so clearly quality is going to be terrific on these.

Thanks man, yes David is great to work with. I'll figure something out with him if things go as planned ๐ค
Didn't know there was a mandate to hate Nato straps. ๐ค
Congratulations Max! I hope this works out well for you.
I'll take 5, thank you very much.

Thanks dude ๐
I'll take 5, thank you very much.
I'll send you 6 ๐
I donโt own any natos. Iโll give this a try.
Will mine come autographed?
I have your tag line: The Zero Pass NATO.....Not NATO approved!
You really did address the aesthetic issues of the NATO strap while keeping the aesthetic benefits of a NATO.
I'll send you 6 ๐
i'm having trouble navigating the website; I can't seem to get to the page where you can place an order for the Zero Pass. What am I doing wrong here?
โInventโ is a bit much. There are tons of other strap makers from Nick Mankey, Watch Stewart, CNS (paratroopers, adjustable straps), and even Erikaโs (with a bit of tweaking) that achieves the same for years. Have a look at the FXD discussions on various forums etc that discuss this.
Whatโs there to patent? Whyโd it take 3 years to make this?

Can you share a screenshot in chats with me?

nevermind, i'm an idiot. I thought the Zero Pass strap was something different to the "Ribbed Nylon/Italian Leather" straps.
The latter look so similar to standard double-pass NATO's in the pictures I didn't realize they were the Zero Pass straps.

I Assume the patent is the placement of a metal loop.
Other than that I'm not sure, you can route a long nato this way perfectly fine. I also have some ebay non branded straps that are zero pass, I feel the word 'invented' is a bit of a far stretched use, as in max invented this zero pass strap but he didn't invent THE zero pass.

Oh yeah, everything on the site is zero pass ๐. I'll never go back
Shipping is as expensive as the entire strap to Germany ๐ต
Too bad, I really love it. I hope this will change in the future with an EU distributor.
Wow, youโre right, โฌ32.95 for shipping to Germany. Thatโs pretty insane for an item thatโs less than 100gโฆ
Add a popper, two poppers, or Velcro instead of stitch. Solved.
Yup, Tudor (and probably others earlier) solved this with their Velcro straps on the FXD.
I donโt hate nato strapsโฆ I hate the dangly strap that is left over ๐๐๐
Placing the watch in the middle of the nato and using the single pass method takes care of this.
Maybe you can design for scuba fifty fathoms too. Haha
Similar to what I do with an MN strap when it's slightly long for my 6.25-inch wrist.
I'll buy one and see if it fits xD, for science!
Yeah unfortunately it doesn't fit. It was worth a try.
I have one Nato strap and it's for my Omega Seamaster Professional 300. It's in a really cool blue color I like, but I don't wear it much. Interestingly enough, Omega doesn't even sell it anymore, which doesn't help me because now, I think it's rare and don't want to wear it. I may lose it or spill something on it. ๐ญThe watch life is tough, friends.
I do like your Nato's @Max and I'll be looking to see if you may end up with one in the same color as my Omega Nato. ๐
Just picked up this great Anachronist.shopย zero pass and it fits great on my Willard SPB297! Thanks Max!
