Bringing It Back From The Dead.

I received this Citizen Aqualand as a bonus from work back in the early 2000's. It worked great until about 4 years ago when the capacitor finally died on me and the watch has lived in my watchbox ever since. I finally bought a new capacitor and installed it this week, and its like having a new watch to me!

Anyone else ever revive an old watch and get to appreciate it all over again?

I have this one...

The crown stem is broken off at the crown & it needs a battery, I took it to a mall watch place & they couldn't fix the stem for some reason.

I need to find a local watchmaker.

My experience has shown me that mall stands are really only able to change batteries (sometimes) and straps or bracelets. Other than that you should go to a watchmaker or learn how to do it yourself. Good luck!

I replace the battery on this Swiss Army watch twice in a year only lasted like 5 months and it dies. With 2 energizer batteries so I pull the crown when I'm not using it. Its a 90s I think, 38mm  I wear it sometimes.

I love that you brought this one back.  The worst thing to do with a solar watch is to put it in a dark place.  Keep it in a bright place and the capacitor will last a long time.  I have a twenty year old Citizen Eco Drive still running on its original capacitor.
