Baby-proof watches

hey all, I'm a dad of 2 toddlers (below 3yo), so there is a lot of "abuse" that my watches need to handle on a daily basis... I'm currently wearing my Nomos Club as a daily watch, but was thinking about BB54.... curious to hear other dads and mums what watches do you wear???

I wear my Santos and DJ most days. Whenever I wear my SMP it gets ripped off my arm so I just give up 😅

Every watch I own must be at least 50m wr but preferably 100m and I tend to wear divers/sport watches. If I would be really upset if it gets dropped or wet then I don't want it (yet)

·

I’d consider the Hamilton Khaki mechanical as it doesn’t show the wear as much due to the finish.

My toddler broke a G-Shock, so nothing is safe.

Answer for myself is just don't have kids 🤷‍♂️

We were shopping for back to school clothes for our 2 daughters when the charming sales person suggested that our younger daughter was a copy of my wife while older sis looked more like me, hell my daughter was offended and started crying so I escorted her to newly opened watch shop in the same mall. We were checking out some shiny just arrived Breitling Chronomats when my daughter accidentally knocked one onto the marble floor. I wasn’t going to buy a watch but was certain there was no real damage and pulled out my credit card. The sales person insisted their in house watchmaker examine the watch first, was appreciated. More than 20 years later I had the watch serviced by Breitling, gave it to my careless daughter who never takes the watch off her wrist.

What you needs a breitling emergency, there great for kids when you cant take anymore pull cord on side of watch for extraction to take you to safety 😂🤣I wear my khaki or dive watch because it can be washed and scratch coating works a bit thanks seiko.

I wore a Rolex GMT II for years in the Army on a tank. You’ll be fine.

Nothing but a G-Shock, baby 😎

·

I have two riotous boys (2 and 4), so have aquired a selection of GShocks. But I'll wear any watch around them to be honest. It's DIY and loading the dishwasher that's the real threat.

Yep with kids that age you want a watch you can run through the dishwasher

·

Got to be a dive watch for me. Barf proof 😂

·

I mostly wear my BB58 around my toddler. Don’t even have to think about it. Can easily transition to bath time with no worries.

·

I have Casioak for this. My 10 months old daughter is chewing it oftenly and loves it🤣
