I was just thinking this. It's not so much the watches for me. I think it's the overall inability to just enjoy something without the need to pick it apart and identify every possible flaw; it gets old.
This is why I'm sometimes a little envious of the one watch guy/girl at work - they'll be wearing a lovely watch, quite naturally without the tortured journey. I think this is why the Exit Watch strategy appeals to me in some way.
I'm good did this journey my own route,so don't think I will end up darth vader, just end up with an amazing seiko GS fan boy collection 🙄😂I can live with that.
It’s not that I’m at Darth Vader level, but in my younger years i would go to the city, check out three jewellers and buy a nice watch. Nowadays, with the intenet being the biggest cause, i have seen and switched 10 times from grail watch, seen all Youtube reviews, searched the deepest dungeons of Chrono24, visited 20 jeweller stores and I still cannot make up my mind😀

Having served in the Australian Infantry I know what watches go through.
It's easy to accidentally pull out a crown when crawling between positions, even just patrolling through the jungle. I've done it. That's why while I served I switched to G Shock.
A field watch should be able to handle being knocked about.
I dabbled with Seiko for a while but I had to wear a watch cover to hide the lume at night. Which then became the weak point so, back to G Shock.
Now I'm out, my watch journey has been diverse to say the least.
I almost bought a modded CasiOak the other day, but slapped my hand before pulling the trigger

I'm currently at "chasing grail" lol and then I actually see myself retiring and enjoying my collections... 😅
Perfect!
You should at least credit the Instagram account you copied this off of.
I don’t know the last week or so I don’t seem to like any of my watches I keep changing them faster and faster and I’m just more and more annoyed.

It could be worse. At least you have a chance of getting yours.

I have a homage, but I've never even SEEN a real one.

This reminds me of the recent complaint about Patek suddenly going from 100m to 30 m water resistance. Haha.
LOL! Apt

It's over Anakin, I have the hi beat!
You underestimate my power reserve...
Join the dark side of the …..moon!
I concur 100%. I also serve in the military for 24 years (US Navy and US Air Force), and I know G-shock is the way to go, specially in the field.
I did a couple of deployments to the middle east and I always took my "trusty G-Shocks" whenever I got deployed.
The concept of field watches of WWII is obsolete and I also agree with you that needs revamping.
Nice to meet you, thank you for your opinion and service!
P.S.
I had a awesome time with the Australian Navy sailors in NSA Bahrain. Those guys know how to party!
Thanks for your service as well brother.

It’s easy to say exit watch, but is it that easy?
