Time?

How do you ask, and how precise are you with your answer when asked?

Does anyone ask the time anymore? 🤷‍♂️

I answer with “time to buy yourself a watch,” and that answer is 100% accurate every time…

·

I can’t remember the last time I asked.

If asked the answer is usually a generalized answer usually employing the word “about “ as the conversation starter.

·

My daughter ask from time to time because I'm sure to wear a watch.

·

I usually say I have x as the time. I personally usually ask when I am sanity checking my watch.

·

Many moons ago I had the original Pebble smart watch, and my favourite face was this one.

All that technology to know "around about" what time it was!

"I dunno, sorry."

·

As a watch nerd, I never have to ask.

When asked, "Time to be wearing a watch I'd guess."

·

I never really ask since I double check my watch with my own phone and never have those two items away form my person. As to being asked, I’m to the minute. So I’ll tell you the exact time. The caveat being if I’m in a hurry. Tend to go with the nearest quarter. If that’s not possible then by the closest minute I see!

If asked I will deliver

·

Usual try to say minutes with multiples of five (8:05, 8:10) and say “almost” or “past”.

But I may say something like 8:07 or 8:08 depending on the time.

·

I’m 1 minute faster than atomic time 🏃🏽‍♂️💨

·

Dial popcorn OMG I just aged myself

·

I never ask, because I'm always wearing a watch. When asked I give to the closest 5 minute interval. eg. "It's about 10 after", or "It's about 9:35".

·

My kids constantly ask me the time. I round up or down to the nearest multiple of 5.

·

I round the numbers to 5 mins increment, or simply show my watch to the person asking (if the person is close enough to me)

·

Interesting replies… Quite often I find myself saying ‘It’s almost…’ which is quite weird when I think about it. Not exactly ‘living in the moment’ 🕰️

I'm not sure my younger son (aged nine) really understands if I say "quarter to six" etc. People do still say that, don't they?!
