Vacation Enhancer

It was always my plan to purchase a new watch on our recent Baltic cruise, and my wife was on board with that. I had hoped to spend around $1,500, but in the end I never found a watch in that price range that spoke to me. Instead, I found three! A Tissot Gentleman (Quartz/Titanium), Tissot PRX (Quartz), and a Certina DS Action. I had my eyes on the Tissots for some time, and chanced upon the Certina after scoping out some Seikos that didn't quite push my needle into the purchase zone. Seeing them all together, they certainly share a similar look. No numerals on the dials, just stick/dagger indices. I opted for the rubber strap on the PRX, which gives it a sportier look IMO, and contrasts nicely with the case. Just as a donut can elevate a cup of coffee, so can the purchase of a new watch (or three) elevate one's vacation. Yeah.

Glad your vacation enhancer wasn’t a huge bag of weed or bottle of “the little blue pill”…

Careful with the “sinker” metaphor whilst on a cruise! 😜

Seriously, you bought some beauties and covered nice bases. Enjoy the trip!

That Certina has me intrigued! Has the looks of the omega rail master but I assume much more attainable.

I just have to comment on nearly every PRX post I see…

Please go on… my OCD‘s been satisfied…

On topic: beautiful vacation collection!

New watches during vacation is a win win! Congrats! 🤙

Congrats on the pickups!!!

I almost bought the same Certina a couple of years ago, when it was on a great discount 💰

Something stopped me, and then they released more color options to this model, with an upgraded mechanism (with a Nivachron balance) - so it's again on my radar. The only thing I really dislike is the "Powermatic 80" writing on the dial 🫣 The rest is just something - nice water resistance, strong lume, sporty but elegant look (can work for any occasion), acceptable dimension
