Yeah, personally I like the rivets and the step-down taper, but it’s super nice being able to switch it up.

Back when I used to travel solo I’d stay in hostels most of the time and would either lock the watch in a locker overnight or have it on my wrist. If I’m camping I might also wear it overnight.
At home or in hotels or staying with friends and family, I never wear it to bed. Prefer leaving it on the bedside table.

I haven't personally noticed any scrunching on mine - will try with a couple of other straps. I get what you're saying about the BB58 and Sub if you're looking for a hardcore tool watch; the FXD definitely fits that bill perfectly.
I'm fortunate enough to have all three watches you mention, and love being able to switch it up - but if I was forced to choose just one, that would be a very hard choice.
Congrats on a great watch, Clay. It's an amazing watch and I'm sure you'll be very happy with it long term.
