b) Had a customized dial ordered from another vendor.
c) Got a selection of chapter rings and watch hands from Ali.
Only to realize that the case kit didn't come with a case back! 😠
P.S: I didn't forget the movement. I was going to use one I had for a while.

I haven't built a watch in one try yet. It's always something. Broke something, forgot something, something doesn't fit. Makes me wish Amazon sold more watch parts.

Yeah, it's that three-week delay. I buy handsets in multiples of three, dials in advance whenever I see something that looks nice, and the same with cases. There is always a movement in reserve. I have a decent assortment of caseback gaskets in different diameters and sizes. Skx chapter rings? Buy a number and see what works best.
It's those little things, like a specific crystal gasket that will get you now and then. This time it was the caseback.
