...but the Spaghetti Scameti has finally arrived. What can I say? I have lusted for this watch for years, but none were available for sale. In fact, I would have never known without Watchcrunch that the brand actually produced watches, as my previous efforts to get onto the Scameti waitlist were in vain, not matter how much jewelry I bought.
But my long and windy watch journey has finally led me to my grail: The SS iCon! It arrived in a very handsome box, which must rival Rolex on so many levels, and shall adorn my workbench from now on.
Inside was the class-leading 30 second warranty card, the magnet of authenticity, as well as some disturbing evidence that the middleman has indeed been eliminated.
I was thoroughly elated. How many sleepless nights had I spent a child, dreaming that one day I would be part of the Scameti experience? And now this childhood dream has become reality.
Well, not so fast. First I had to size the bracelet, which with only the most cost-effective pins the Far East had to offer, was not a trivial feat, indeed. But it was so worth it! The iCon revealed itself in its polished, and more polished, glory. I couldn't even bring myself to take it off in the pouring rain to get a pizza.
But the iCon just shrugged off that rain, and has been running fine ever since. I should try wearing it as a dive watch next. But the best part of the experience is the feeling of standing in solidarity with those wronged by the middleman.

Wear it with pride. After all, spaghetti scameti is the only watch brand to have truly eliminated the middleman.
My wife just found the Spaghetti Scameti, as well as the watch box with the rubber eye in it. It's not all that easy to explain to somebody who had not idea what MVMT was, and what their marketing was like.
They just opened a boutique on 5th Ave in NYC. The watch is $2; no middleman. However, entrance to the boutique is $87,000. 😀
