That’s fun. If I ever get an engraved watched, I will have to do the same.
My wife got this engraved because she likes it and wanted to discourage me from ever selling it. I limit myself to a box that holds 12 watches. It’s full, so if I buy a watch, I have to sell a watch.
The engraving must have worked, because this watch has been my favorite since I got it. I could almost be a one-watch guy with this watch. Almost. 😆
I like how identifiable this watch is. I knew what it was, even when the hand were covering the brand. And the stark black and white is super legible. Nice watch. 👍👍
I like that dial. I’ve been looking for a watch with a purple dial, but apparently I’m picky. Every time I see a purple dial, I don’t like that specific shade of purple. This one is good. (But I’m probably going to go with the newish Orient in light purple.)

Honestly, I don't care. I don't have a pony in this race. I have a Baltic Aquascaphe, which is an omage to the Blancain Bathyscaphe. If the Habring2 is an omage to the "calatrava", that doesn't offend me. I just saw a resemblance.
No, not a recent model. I think it’s 2012-ish. And the age shows—no hacking and no hand winding.
Orient still makes a Retro Future Camera which has similar vibes.
