Close to 2 years ago, @rodeenski and I brainstormed the idea of designating a specific day in a week or a month, to wear our #greenwatches, and posting photos on WRUW. #greendialday
@Ichibunz felt that Friday may be the best day, and thought of the moniker "Verde Viernes". #verdeviernes
@DigitalDivider seconded the idea, since the origin of Friday is associated with spring and green.
Thus, Green Fridays was born. #greenfridays
@thekris @Davidsloan @JaeBust @Zotrax1946 @WatchesRock @FabriceVSM were early supporters of the idea. Soon after that, more and more Crunchers kept this in mind, followed the #greenfridays habit, and were posting regularly on WRUW every Friday.
Now close to 2 years after, it's still simple fun... a simple way to celebrate and enjoy the #greendial #greendials #greenwatch #greenwatches in our collection.

"Viernes verde" is a latin rock and roll band I used to love back in the 90s. It means green Friday. I can get into that. Except the green watch I want I'm saving for next year. This year's watch will be coming in 3 more months when I reach my savings goal.
