Where are my hand-winds at? There's something nice about pausing for a few moments each morning to wind a watch. Same for Autos you don't wear often enough to keep winding.

I wanted to add it but there weren't enough room ๐.
I love the mechanical side of an automatic, the fact that itโs properly complicated and worth what I paid, but honestly my Omega is a quartz because itโs my daily and I love accuracy and that thing doesnโt lose a second over months and I know it it gets a knock which invariably it will, it will shrug it off
Of course not all quartz is created equal and an auto movement is a bit broad as a category bc you have some that are amazing, some that are horologically innovative, and some that are meh. As far as quartz? If weโre talking 9F quartz? Yeah, letโs go.

I like them all but mostly quartz in my collection and 4 autos. I can only dream about a Spring Drive, out of my means alas.

Pretty sure that photo youโre using for Spring Drive is a manual wind 9S64 ๐
Sweeping hand quartz for me probably! Never had the joy to experience an automatic or spring drive, but a hand-wind is pretty nifty too :)
Easy, quartz. Mechanicals are cool and all, I have...three of them. Quarzt is just easy/low cost to maintain, accurate, always ready, more affordable.
Hand wind.
Solar quartz.
