Love that watch too. I’ve tried it on several times. So amazingly lightweight. It’s astonishing. But I just can’t bring myself to pull the trigger on it for over $3000 for a solar quartz. Maybe I’ll change my mind at some point with the right discount 😁

Of those I voted Aquis, it'd be the Tudor if only it wasn't titanium, I really don't like the feel of it but love the style of the Pele (dislike the Black Bay range tho)

For that budget I chose a used Omega SM300 heritage (2014 model)

I have seen it on a few sites, including Jomashop, for less than $2000.

Only had a couple of Ti, Tissot T-touch and Zelos Swordfish. The Tissot was just a tool for the mountains and was ok. The Zelos Swordfish was horrible - hated it! Felt cheap and nasty, especially the bracelet. Didn't like the tacky styling and awkward angular case, but it was the feel of it that I found repugnant.

I think some titanium watches can have a horrible feel, but for me if done right I may prefer them for their all around comfort, but I am sort of on the fence.

I don't get why the Ultra Chron doesn't get more love.

It's 43mm wide sure, but the lug to lug is only 48mm so it should wear well on a lot of wrists. It wears very, very well in fact.

The bracelet is deceptively good, the sapphire bezel insert frickin' gorgeous, the dial and hand set is stunning and the hi-beat ultra chronometer movement is one of the best in the price range.

It's so under appreciated and such a sleeper - if you haven't checked it out you should.

I voted for the Tudor, but Oris is really close from it.

- Don't buy a Tudor if you deeply want a Rolex.

- Don't get the Longines if the length of the lugs matter to you. It matters to me; I have a 7 inch wrist and I tried it on; The lugs are way too long, for me.

-this Doxa is a good looking watch , if you like bright orange. It also have history (Cousteau).

-The Oris is really nice. The specs are insane for the price and the dial is outstanding. I tried on the 41.5mm green. Great.

May I suggest the beautiful ZFG Marinemaster?

Edit: I'll hopefully see it in flesh tomorrow.

I love the LD and Pelagos but I had to vote for the Sub 300.

Think you need to throw the Seiko MM300 into the conversation. This one is the OG SBDX001 (2000-2016), but a number of newer variations out there SBDX017, SLA021, SLA023, etc. Monobloc case, zaratsu polished, undecorated Grand Seiko movement, best lume in the biz, alot to like. Is big but wears ok given short lug to lug and Seiko magic.

My true answer is the seiko marine Master. Sla023j1, second hand it's the best watch I've owned £ for £

Great minds think alike, I said MM300 just before you.
