I am looking to add one of the new solar versions to my collection this year.
After watching the video by “Just One More Watch”, I am also thinking about the new Solar/ Bluetooth release. The GWG2000 is a cool piece of equipment but really chunky and do I really need a barometer, altimeter and compass? No. If Casio brings out the new Solar Casioak in orange, I probably won’t be able to resist. Bluetooth is a “meh” for me but perhaps its utility will become apparent quickly.
I am anxiously awaiting my return home from vacation as there is a 420 CasiOak AND a Producer Michael model in my mail box waiting for me (and also a Mission to Pluto OmegaSwatch)....but that's a different topic... 😎
What is it about the solar version that you like more?
I have a fascination with solar watches and have a large collection of them; Casio, Citizen, Seiko, Timex, and a few other brands. I just really like the idea of a quartz watch with an almost perpetual power source. I also have a couple of Seiko Kinetic watches, including a GMT.

That's a pretty cool theme to have in a collection!
I've been looking at these all day , there are a few I want. They are the perfect fit for adding somthing fun into the collection as I dnt want to wear my fancy shizle all the time.
I will be documenting the search for my Grail Timepiece on my YouTube channel which will be launching later this year. I also sell watch rolls which are available at GrailTimepieces.com

Got to admit I’m a big fan if the mod possibilities of the Casioaks. I’m a perpetual tinkerer and may need to buy one just to play around with.
These are what got me to purchase my first G shock. Love the smaller design and muted color options.
