🚀 Mission to Moonphase - Full Moon

If there is anything 2022 taught me, it's that don't fall in line like that ever again, for anything 😄

Fast forward to today and Snoopy makes a cryptic appearance for Swatch x Omega and my brain defensively shuts down towards any idea of getting this any sooner than 2025 🤣

Prelude

2024 seems to be a bit different for the Moonswatch as the availability is a bit (emphasis on bit) better. Deliveries to shops are still unknown and random, from observation, but if your regular route home is by a store,, then you are bound to get one much sooner than before.

As every YouTuber and reviewer has already said, nothing new to the specifications and build of the watch except for the moonphase. Which is the biggest addition/change to this release. It is nice to note, at least here in CH, that buying one comes with a free UV lamp. Which I found to be a nice touch from Swatch. The box comes with an extra pamphlet of how to set the moonphase (and you can check if the moonphase is set correctly by visiting the Swatch website and checking the current date) and also the Chronograph.

Snoopy's Debut

The most anticipated part of the watch is Snoopy and Woodstock and their little secret only revealed under UV light. The all white approach to this watch is what also got me quite interested in this watch (else I wouldn't really have been that diligent in my route home 😄).

Complete honesty, when you keep seeing a watch in it's macro shot sense, you will get a little 😳 moment when forst seeing this in person. Snoopy and Woodstock are barely visible unless you squint. But you'll get over this as soon as you get used to seeing it on your wrist and not in photos anymore. It could be just me, but sharing this nonetheless. As we are in the New Moonphase my Snoopy is still hidden and I'll have to wait a good few days to see him in full.

Playing with the UV torch was fun and revealed the message of "I can't sleep without a night light" and the stars and the little bit of Snoopy that was peeking out. The kid in me was giddy! 🤣

The back of the watch was also interesting with Snoopy's footprint and some words to live by written around the case back.

Strap and First Impressions As any other Moonswatch the strap is the sticky point for me. I love the idea of the easy strap and the velcro but my teeny tiny wrists weren't made for this. This Moonphase version comes with the Medium strap so it wasn't the best looking for me.

Lucky me i had a nice white strap from Archer Straps hanging around the house which made wearing the watch a much more pleasant experience.

Sharing this with Mr. Alex and just staring at it, he said, oh you finally got a moonphase watch!

I do recall asking around WC before but not seeming to fall in love with anything at that point, it did work out in the end😄

Edit: The New Mission to Moonphase - New Moon is the all black version and will be released April 8th. I'll live vicariously through anyone who gets this 😄 I'm quite happy with the Full Moon 🥰

Is it going to last, no. Is it pricey, yes. Do I love it, yes! And it's fun! And that's what this watch is all about.
