Names

Does anyone give names to their watches? Or any other inanimate objects you own? I've never really been into it besides doing it jokingly but for most of us whose watches are our most prized possessions to which we we share an intimate bond, doesn't it make sense to?

No, not yet!! My wife has given names to my vehicles but if she starts naming my watches...that would just be too weird ...LOL Enjoy the hobby

Doesn't come naturally to me so I wouldn't do it.

No. And if I ever do I hope someone will have the good sense to get me the help I need.

The only time it happened was with my first Yema Superman which was awarded the nickname of the Yema Supergap.

Had an Italian motorcycle I called Sophia and a Dodge truck I called Big Red... No names for watches other than the common ones. Wearing my"turtle" now

My girlfriend names my watches because she can’t be bothered memorising the brand names and models.

Same here. I just normally refer to mine as my Seiko or my Sumo and have never called it anything in person. Seiko is actually a female Japanese so by referring to it as that is similar to naming it

·

I only have a name for 1 of my watches.

I would've called it "The Autumnmatic!" I really love that dial; stunning!
