From my experience with acrylic with my Vostoks and as much as a I like sapphire on a fancy watch… acrylic gives me more peace of mind. The difference between a ding with one glass over the other is night and day. When I ding my Vostok on a hard surface or wood, it’s just a bump in the road. When the same happens with my Pagani, i wince and always check for damage. It’s also nice, because I don’t have two things of sapphire to worry about getting into the movement.
I like the acrylic on the front much more, what incredible warmth, but the open case back is more important to me because the movement is gorgeous and there’s no rotor to block it!

Mine was a pre-moon and if I bought another it would be the same. I'd take acrylic on 9/10 of my collection if it was available.

So true
Acrylic, all day err day, when given a choice.
(Yes this isn't a Speedy, but it does utilize the Omega armored style crystal design per Lorier themselves)

That Lorier looks so good! Also thanks for the information about Hesalite. I did not know that.

It would be the only non-sapphire watch I own, but if I were getting a moonwatch, I'd want THE moonwatch. So it'd not be a sapphire model.
I love acrylic simply because of the retro feel to it
Only Sapphire. Beautiful display case back and more practical glass.
He so light...
Acrylic. Sapphire's great, but so is acrylic; just for different reasons.

If you want a true moonwatch, you have to go with the Hesalite crystal.
Hesolite for me.
