I have a really big wrist, so extra links are a necessity on a metal bracelet. Unfortunately that's not always available. So I've come to rely on nato/zulu/paratrooper straps. I've really come to like the paratrooper straps.

I got it open. At first I saw no makers names, then I googled Basis. There is (was) a Basis watch company, so I guess they made it?

What's the difference in a standard and an A? All I can seem to find on the net are As.

Not sure. No markings on it that I saw. Maybe a 2414 A SU? (just from looking on the net). I have a spare NH34A out of an Invicta laying around. I may see if it fits?

Yeah, I figured that out. In the winding position, the hands spin and there's the typical winding clicking sound. But nothing happens. It won't run. I have a feeling the mainspring is broken because there's a "clunk" (for lack or a better word) from time to time while winding. Even nudging the balance wheel won't kickstart it.

New Watch Day!
