In cases like this, I drill some extra lug holes in the case. It's a five-minute job and straps fit perfectly after that.

I use a Dremel 220 stand that can drill holes under 60 degrees.

This tools makes it twice as hard to remove or insert spring bars. I'm using a spring bar tool with hardened endpoints from Red Rooster. They don't last forever but are cheap enough to throw away every now and then.

The difference with other tools like the Bergeon is that it uses hardened steel and thus can make the tip thinner. I've used Bergeon but as with most of their stuff it is made in China and of lesser quality - with exorbitant prices.
