How a watch collection should be?

This week I realized that I need to buy a new watch box organizer or sell some of my watches. This led me to ask the following questions: What should a good watch collection looks like? How are your collections? Below are the four options allowed but, please feel free to comment on a combination of these options or if you have another way to collect.

I think this is something that's specific to the collector. There's no one way that a collection should be. People ought to follow their interests where they take them.

Personally, I generally like to collect Seiko's, but I don't want to collect multiple watches with the same movement. I'm after the most interesting (to me) watches with that particular type of caliber. That's pretty much the only hard rule that I have.

I also have some Seiko watches. Interesting point of view on trying to experiencing different watch calibers/movements! Thaks for comment! 👍

By love - for each watch (according to my personal desire) and with an expense limit (according to my personal wallet)

And something completely different, a newer photo of my main hifi equip...

That's another kind of love 😎

I'd say a box where you can put all your watches in the same box, and if there's a section to store all the bracelets/straps I have, I'd give it a go.

How a watch collection should be? I think that first of all it should be yours because someone's else collection isn't going to do you much good.

I like what you have here. A new case just arrived for me today! Your collection can be as big as your wallet allows...however if you aren't going to wear them much then buying too many is a waste of money. But then again, you could win the lottery..... ; )

Looks like you're officially the first person I'm following here. I'm an IT person as well, cloud infrastructure and everything that goes along with that. Nice meeting you. What's going to be your next watch purchase? I have a Draken Aoraki (Redbar Special Edition) which is due to arrive sometime in May.

Nice! I'm honored. :-)

Recently I looked at Draken website. They have interesting watches.

I started buying some chinese like Pagani. Actually I don't have a greate budget so I bought some old vintage like Helvetia and after, some Casios, Seikos and Sea-Gulls.

I'm keeping on eye on a Sea-Gull's 1963 chrono and maybe some San Martin could be the next.

I have a Draken on order. Will post when the watch arrives. All the watches you mentioned are good ones. Budget or no budget, whatever makes you happy is all that matters!
