SOTC in installments - #2 Helvetia 1977

The second watch in my collection, in no particular order, is my Helvetia. I bought this one and a Seiko 5 (coming soon) early last year.

This is a watch I chose when I was introduced to the concept of the "Birth Watch" and set out to look for watches made in my birth year.

Anyway, here is my Vintage Watch Helvetia from 1977!!

It has a Swiss manual winding movement ETA 2750.

The watch came from Belgrade in Serbia and the Cyrillic inscription on the caseback reads: "Construction of the highway Bajina Bašta - Valjevo year 1977"

Wristwatches were reportedly given as a government recognition to workers at that time. In this case for the completion of construction of the road between the cities of Bajina Bašta and Valjevo in 1977.

Great piece! Absolutely love it! I'm a graphic designer, when I first read it I thought the dial said "Helvetica" that's a font I love using for professional marketing and I must say, this beauty does remind me of it. It seems so dressy and perfect, like a professional out to dinner after a big win, so a big win for you 🙏🏾

Everyone knows that comic sans is the king of all fonts, and as his right hand man, papyrus!
