Tuns leather straps

I have no affiliation with this company. I am merely a recent customer and wanted to share my impressions.  I discovered them on Etsy, where they had good reviews. I was looking for a leather strap for my Atticus Pharos. I landed on the black ostrich. Today a brown alligator strap arrived.

The straps are made in Vietnam and take about two weeks to arrive in the US. The packaging is better than I expected. Inside the box is a folded paper carrier that holds the strap. The strap is inside a plastic case.

The straps have quick release spring bars and they are lined with a supposedly water resistant material.

I have to say my initial impressions are quite positive. I am impressed by the value proposition they seem to offer. I ordered all mine from their Etsy store, but apparently they have a website that has better pricing. I haven't ordered from the website so I can't vouch for how good that works.

I will definitely be ordering more.

These look nice - how stiff are they "out of the box"?

So they need much break in?

They really aren't very stiff at all. Very little, if any break in.

Oddly enough, I haven't tried the Pharos on black.  That looks pretty excellent, actually.  -Rusty

I have to agree that Tuns makes fantastic straps and are made to order. I've just put in a order for another three.

I've ordered 3 straps from them; the workmanship (straight, even and symmetric stitching) is excellent, and the materials look and feel great. He does custom work and will also address any concerns that you may have. Overall, the value and quality is much better than other more expensive strap companies that I've tried in the past. (color variation in pic is mostly just the shadow from my phone). His direct website is: tunsstore.com
