GS has a deep vintage and neo-vintage catalogue. https://www.grand-seiko.com/uk-en/collections/SBGR253 yep 3500 GBP in the UK and you get the single gs branding instead of the double whammy gs+seiko that I have and love to be honest matter of priority, taste and purse.
Sure at least in the SBGR053 case as this was before the brand went global, the SBGR253 was a regular model not sure it's still part of the current catalogue...
